Celebrating 30 years in 2017!
In April 1987, BMI Supply formed to provide excellent customer service and broad product selection to the entertainment industry. The late Robert S. Barber, founder of BMI Supply, was a professional and academic Technical Director/Designer. Mr. Barber’s craft took shape across the country, including the deep South, Midwest, Florida, Carolinas, and New York. Since early 2010, our team has continued steady growth under the supportive leadership of President Cindy Barber.
The typical customer of BMI Supply is overworked, underpaid, and faces impossible deadlines. Due to Mr. Barber’s similar experiences as a practitioner, specifically the frustrations of getting materials on time, we crafted the “Ultimate Customer Service” (UCS) mindset. We consider ourselves part of our clients’ production team, a unique perspective that prioritizes service and ingenuity. Using this approach, we enjoy a dedicated client base that “swears by us not at us”.
BMI Supply sales and installation personnel are industry professionals who have endured the production lifestyle and now make BMI Supply the savvy supplier that entertainment technicians rely on. We are happy to handle technical questions, offer advice, and help plan your long-term equipment needs.
